I thought we had come up with a name, but the name I had planned on was already taken by another business in the USA. So, in the very late night and early morning of the Saturday and Sunday, Robyn and I were brainstorming via the web. She came up with breastANGELS – Breast Advice, Nurturing, Guidance, Empathy, Love and Support. WOW!! Then she came up with the initial design from which we have created the logo.
There is a little bit of a story behind the angel in our logo – when Reid and I were at Breakthrough to Success in July 07, we did a guided visualisation to help us discover our life purpose. Briefly, we travelled through beautiful nature, came to a shining temple and were met by an angel who delivered our life purpose to us in a box on a velvet cushion. Of course, it was a lot more meditative and beautiful than that, but you get the idea. All I could see was an angel with no face (which threw me completely) and a lectern. Now I understood. I had worked out the lectern bit in the past couple of months, but was still troubled by the angel with no face. Then I took another look at the angel Rob drew that I love. She had NO FACE!! This angel was what I saw in the meditation. At the risk of sounding very hippyish, I know that this is my life purpose – Bess and I had even put some words to it. My life purpose is “To use my caring and compassionate nature, along with my management skills to assist people re-create their lives because of an experience with cancer”.
